Abstrakt: Článek se zabývá historickým, geopolitickým a vnitropolitickým kontextem Arabského jara v Bahrajnu. Zaměřuje se na autoritářský charakter režimu, demografické rozdělení společnosti podle sektářských linií a také na soupeření Íránu, Saúdské Arábie a Spojených států o vliv v této malé zemi.

Abstract (EN): Bahrain between Revolution and Counter-Revolution. This paper describes the historical, geopolitical and political context of the so-called Arab Spring in Bahrain. It focuses on the authoritarian nature of the regime, the demographic division between the two main Islamic sects and the broader international conflict among Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States over control of the small Gulf state.
