Abstrakt: Možnosti participace občanů na fungování obce nejsou omezeny jen na účast v komunálních volbách. Mnohem více se využívají vybrané prvky přímé demokracie, jako jsou místní referenda a participativní rozpočty. V příspěvku jsou představeny výsledky analýzy komunálních voleb z roku 2018 se zaměřením na srovnání počtu kandidátů a dostupných mandátů a také výsledky mapování konaných místních referend v období 2006–2021.

Abstract (EN): The possibilities of participation in local governance – the elections are just the beginning. The possibilities of citizen participation in the functioning of the municipality are not limited to the participation in municipal elections. Selected elements of direct democracy, such as local referendums and participatory budgeting, are much more widely used. This paper presents the results of the analysis of municipal elections in 2018 with a focus on comparing the number of candidates and available seats, as well as the results of mapping local referendums in the period 2006–2021.
