Abstrakt: Ruská vojenská agrese na Ukrajině trvá již sedm měsíců. Článek se snaží rekapitulovat a kriticky diskutovat vybrané aspekty této války. Jednak se vrací k jejím kořenům v roce 2014, všímá si katalyzátorů její současné fáze, dále rozebírá Putinovy historické a ideologické argumenty k napadení Ukrajiny a zdůrazňuje geografickou dimenzi konfliktu. V závěru se pokouší o formulaci scénářů budoucího vývoje.

Abstract (EN): The war in Ukraine – the collapse of the Russian giant? Russian military aggression in Ukraine has been going on for seven months. The article tries to recapitulate and critically discuss selected aspects of this war. On the one hand, it returns to its roots in 2014, notices the catalysts of its current phase, further analyzes Putin's historical and ideological arguments for attacking Ukraine and emphasizes the geographical dimension of the conflict. In the end, it tries to formulate scenarios for future development.
