Abstrakt: Kazachstán, Kyrgyzstán, Uzbekistán, Tádžikistán a Turkmenistán. Této pětici středoasijských států se jen zřídkakdy dostane pozornosti českého čtenáře, často jen v případě výměn na prezidentských postech. Ovšem způsoby, jakými se prezidenti do svých úřadů dostávají, vypovídají mnohé o vnitřních režimech těchto zemí. Článek popisuje specifika každé z nich právě na příkladech výměny hlavy státu, ke které v některých z nich došlo od rozpadu Sovětského svazu pouze jednou.

Abstract (EN): Dynamics of regimes in Central Asia. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. These five Central Asian countries rarely get the Czech public's attention, usually only in cases of changes in the presidential posts. However, the ways of these changes may tell a lot about the political regimes of these countries. The article describes the specific characteristics of the regimes of these countries, using the transitions from one president to another (which in some of the countries has happened only once since 1990) as an example of such differences.
