Abstrakt: Článek přináší základní přehled o znázorňování podzemí, s důrazem na topografické mapy a tematické mapy velkého měřítka. Popsány jsou obecné principy zachycení podzemí a krasu i způsob znázornění konkrétních typů objektů, ilustrovaný na ukázkách map z různých zemí. Z tematických map je prostor věnován speleologickým a důlním mapám a plánům technické infrastruktury.

Abstract (EN): Depiction of the underground on maps. The article provides a basic overview of the underground´s representation of the, with an emphasis on topographic maps and large-scale thematic maps. The general principles of representation of underground and karst are described, as well as the method of representation for specific types of objects, displayed by examples of maps from different countries. As examples of thematic maps, speleological and mining maps and technical infrastructure plans are described.
