Abstrakt: Článek představuje stále atraktivní problematiku hledání středů území na příkladu Česka. Každou metodou i od každého přírodního a sociálního jevu lze odvodit odlišný střed území. Navíc existuje řada faktorů, které je třeba při určování středu území vzít v potaz (mj. přesnost metody, určení hranic území nebo proměnlivost hranic). Autoři v souhrnné mapě zobrazují vybrané středy Česka a prezentují způsob jejich určení.

Abstract (EN): The Midpoint of Czechia. But Which One? This article visits the oft-discussed issue of determining a territory’s midpoint, using the example of Czechia. A variety of methods along with a variety of natural and social manifestations can be used to yield differing midpoints. Moreover, a large number of factors need to be accounted for to determine the midpoint of a territory (i.e. the exactness of the method, determining boundaries or the variability of boundaries). The authors present a collection of maps that describe a selection of Czechia’s midpoints and explain the methods behind them.
