Abstrakt: Článek se zabývá problematikou montánního dědictví na příkladu města Jáchymov a jeho okolí. V této oblasti je stále patrná její hornická minulost. A to nejen v období rozkvětu města při těžbě stříbra ve středověku, ale i v období totalitních režimů. Během 50. a 60. let 20. století bylo v oblasti založeno mnoho pracovních táborů, v nichž se těžil uran pro potřeby tehdejšího Sovětského svazu.

Abstract (EN): Mining Heritage (Not Only Uranium) in the Jáchymovsko Area. This article explores mining heritage using the example of the town Jáchymov and its surroundings. The area is home to abundant evidence of its mining past, not only of prosperous times connected with silver mining during the Middle Ages, but also from the period of totalitarian regimes. In the 1950s and 1960s, this region was home to many labor camps in which uranium was mined by political prisoners to fulfill the needs of the Soviet Union.
