Abstrakt: Oddíl č. 4 Atlasu krajiny České republiky s názvem Přírodní krajina uvádí aktuální a detailní faktografii týkající se území Česka, tedy jejích jednotlivých přírodních složek (energie, ovzduší, geologického prostředí, reliéfu, vody, půdy, rostlinstva, živočišstva) a jejich integrálních projevů v podobě typů přírodní krajiny. V každé dílčí tematické části tohoto oddílu je pak patrná snaha o výklad témat postupně od ryze analytického přístupu po komplexní charakteristiku podle souboru vlastností typů přírodní krajiny. Studiem map lze získat základní znalosti o přírodě České republiky a četné inspirace pro geografické vzdělávání.
Abstract (EN): An Open Book of Nature: the Landscape Atlas of the Czech Republic. The “natural landscape” chapter of the atlas presents a large collection of maps on energy, climate, water, geology, terrain, soils, plants and animals including their relationships and natural landscapes. The various analytic and synthetic maps provide interesting theses for geography education in schools. Maps play the role of an information source concerning czechia’s territory as well as a tool for understanding the relationships between natural features and human activities. This article includes a number of educational ideas.
